This map of Romania shows the number of general practitioners (GP) per 10,000 population-adjusted inhabitants (30 km catchment area) in each region, as an indicator of healthcare access, colour-coded from lightest blue colour (the lowest number is 2.49) to darkest blue (highest number is 5.25). A clear rural-urban gradient can be observed.

Currently, a mouse-over shows the exact value per region.

Eventually, a mouse-over or clicking on a region will also present additional information about that region, for example, the size of the population, its demographical composition or the percentage of unmet healthcare needs. Information from our in-country research will be included as we go along.
